Remembering October 7th
Join us for a poignant event as the Miami Jewish Film Festival commemorates the one-year anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel with a complimentary community-wide screening of We Will Dance Again featuring Israeli director Yariv Mozer on Saturday, September 21 at Temple Beth Sholom and an encore on Sunday, September 22 at The Hub at Temple Beth Am, Miami.
We Will Dance Again is one of the most important and powerful films of the year, offering a harrowing retelling of the tragedy that struck the Supernova Music Festival. What began as a celebration of peace, freedom, and love at a music festival turned into a nightmare of terror. Through the eyes of survivors, We Will Dance Again reconstructs the event, capturing the innocence and beauty of youth forever scarred by the tragedy. The film offers a chilling glimpse into the horrors of the October 7th attack, meticulously portraying the raw emotions and heroism that emerged in its wake. Critically acclaimed, the film is being positioned as a contender for the Academy Awards for Best Documentary Feature Film.
The award-winning Israeli filmmaker Yariv Mozer (Ben Gurion Epilogue, The Devil's Confession: The Lost Eichmann Tapes) will join us for a post-screening discussion on September 21 at Temple Beth Sholom, alongside Consul General of Israel in Miami, Maor Elbaz-Starinsky, and GMJF Interim CEO, Scott Kaufman. Yariv Mozer will also provide an extended introduction for the September 22 screening at The Hub at Temple Beth Am.
This special free community event is made possible through the generous support of Fred & Lundy Reynolds and the Consul General of Israel in Miami.
