The Two Mariettes

North American Premiere

In her latest film, Argentinean filmmaker Poli Martinez Kaplun (MJFF 2020 Audience Award-winner The House of Wannsee Street) explores the powerful themes of hidden secrets and identity. For over seven decades, Mariette Diamant, who fled Nazi-occupied France as a child, concealed her Jewish heritage out of fear. Now at 90, she bravely decides to reveal the truth that has haunted her, confronting the possibility of rejection and prejudice.
