Most People Die on Sundays

Southeast US Premiere

Premiering at the Cannes Film Festival, this dark comedy is equal parts hilarious and heart-tugging as is follows an unlucky in love, awkward 30-something who reluctantly returns from a European vacation to Buenos Aires to attend his uncle’s funeral. Reconnecting with his neurotic Jewish family, he discovers that his devoted mother (Rita Cortese, Wild Tales) might be ready to take his long-comatose father off life support. Doing anything to avoid visiting him in the hospital, he embarks on a heartfelt journey across Buenos Aires, filled with driving lessons and fleeting romantic encounters with men that offer him a glimmer of affection. But he can only run for so long before he’ll have to face his fears head-on and finally grow up. Through a delightful blend of humor and genuine emotion, Most People Die on Sundays offers a unique and heartwarming exploration of personal growth and the enduring bonds of family.
