Exile of the Musicians
International Premiere
Between 1933 and 1945, over a hundred Jewish musicians fleeing Germany and Austria found refuge in Argentina, where they revived their careers in the country's theaters, orchestras, radio stations, conservatories, tango venues, and film studios. Musicologist Silvia Glocer delves into their stories, recovers their works, and interviews their descendants, culminating in a grand concert she organized to honor these nearly forgotten figures.
This special premiere event will include the attendance of director Iván Cherjovsky, who will introduce the film and participate in a Q&A after the screening.
