Can These Bones Live Again

World Premiere

In March 2023, 15 high school seniors embarked on a powerful pilgrimage to Poland through the Holocaust education program Names, Not Numbers®. This emotionally stirring documentary captures their journey as they confront the heart of their Jewish heritage in a land that once flourished with Jewish life, but was devastated by the horrors of the Holocaust. For centuries, Poland was home to millions of Jews until the Holocaust shattered that existence, with the vast majority brutally murdered or expelled. These young men walk the very ground where their ancestors faced unimaginable suffering, standing in the gas chambers, traversing the camps, and visiting the once-thriving towns that were reduced to ruins.

Through their eyes, this film offers a raw, intimate portrayal of history’s darkest chapter. As they bear witness to these sites of death and despair, they also come face-to-face with the resilience and survival of the Jewish spirit. Can These Bones Live Again is a moving testament to the power of memory, ensuring that the atrocities of the past remain alive in the hearts of a new generation, determined to stand strong against hatred and evil.
