Trance Therapy
US Premiere
At the age of 20, French filmmaker Cindy Gzaiel embarked on a journey as a war reporter, living in the precarious no-man’s land between Lebanon, Syria, and Israel. During this time, she encountered a remarkable generation of young Middle Easterners who sought solace in rave parties as a means of escaping the traumas of war. At this same time, she was on her own personal journey, seeking refuge from her inner demons. Over the course of five years, she meticulously documented their experiences, and began a cinematic odyssey chronicling her adventurous road trip through the beautiful wonders of Israel.
