Kosher Rehab

North American Premiere

This fascinating and deeply moving story serves as a powerful, open-hearted, and raw portrayal of addiction and recovery. Captured for the first time on screen, young Jewish men are seen hiding not only Torah verses in their head tefillin, but heroin as well. At Jerusalem's Kosher Rehab center, these troubled youth are trying to escape their addiction before they accelerate their slide to destruction even further. With care and sensitivity, Kosher Rehab presents the harrowing story of fifteen young American drug addicts, who share both their pain and their fight for recovery.

Accompanying the film premiere is a discussion with director Anna Oliker and moderator Frumma Gottlieb, an educator who has been cited by Time Magazine as an expert on Mindfulness in Judaism. To view the conversation please click here.
