All I Can Do

Southeast US Premiere

A nominee at the Israeli Academy Awards (Ophirs), All I Can Do is a powerfully moving and incendiary Israeli drama focusing on the legal aspects of sexual violence. A young prosecutor (Ania Bukstein from Game of Thrones and MJFF 2016 film A Quiet Heart) takes over a difficult sexual assault case based on the sole testimony of the accuser, Efrat, a rebellious and vulnerable woman. As the trial progresses and Efrat is losing faith, she learns the true nature of strength, love, and sisterhood. Brilliantly realized and thoroughly gripping, this is an important story that needs to be told, imparting the mountain of turmoil, obstacles, dead-ends, relationships, and uncertainty that underlie cases of sexual violence and the festering wounds they leave behind. With All I Can Do, Shiri Nevo Fridental shares a way to take this compounded trauma and turn it into a call to action.
