Like its title, Amor asks the viewer to consider the true nature of love. After wandering for three years in Europe, Daniel, an abstract artist, returns home to his small farming village in Israel. No one is sure why he has returned or how long he will stay, and Daniel isn't talking. Meanwhile, we meet the Frizer family whose beautiful daughter Lila, a former dancer, is now paralyzed and wants to end her life. Those who love her refuse, protesting that religious law prohibits euthanasia. This lyrical and beautifully shot drama explores the depths of what love sometimes demands of us, and how memories are simultaneously both fragile and fleeting, but sometimes all that we have.
