The Phoenician Scheme whisks audiences away on a globe-trotting escapade brimming with mystery, espionage, and eccentric charm. Set in a meticulously stylized version of the Mediterranean in the 1960s, the story follows a reclusive linguist (Benicio Del Toro) who stumbles upon a cryptic artifact tied to an ancient conspiracy. He’s soon entangled in a web of double agents, archaeological secrets, and theatrical deception, joined by a magnetic cast of characters including a washed-up American diplomat (Tom Hanks), a calculating intelligence officer (Bryan Cranston), and a glamorous yet unpredictable art thief (Scarlett Johansson).
