After hundreds of sold out performances on Broadway and throughout the world, Soul Doctor comes to the big screen in this exhilarating musical journey of the rockstar rabbi, Shlomo Carlebach, and his unlikely friendship with the legendary "High Priestess of Soul" Nina Simone. From his beginnings in Nazi-occupied Austria, Shlomo Carlebach was destined to make a difference. But it was from his unlikely friendship with Nina Simone that he learned not only about gospel music and jazz, but also how music can be an agent of change. Starring Tony Award-nominee Josh Young (West Side Story, Jesus Christ Superstar).

This special event will feature a live performance and the presence of screenwriter & director Daniel Wise, who will introduce the film and participate in a conversation with the audience afterward.
