Academy Award-winner Kate Winslet stars in this fascinating portrait of the great American war correspondent Lee Miller, whose singular talent and ferocious tenacity gave us some of the 20th century’s most indelible images. From her powerful photographs of the London Blitz to the liberation of Paris, her work illuminated the struggles and horrors of World War II. She was also among the first photographers to enter the camps at Buchenwald and Dachau on the day of the liberation, where she crafted a series of horrifying, urgent images that would sear themselves into history. Premiering at TIFF and AFI and featuring outstanding supporting performances by Marion Cotillard, Alexander Skarsgård, Andrea Riseborough, and Andy Samberg, Lee is a gripping and compelling film, masterfully directed by legendary cinematographer Ellen Kuras that offers a vivid and profound portrait of an artist who changed the way we see the world.
